Adding a service process

When you are configuring web services, you can add another process in the Service Processes dropdown menu. This can be useful when you want to run one or more web services on a different set of servers from the rest of the web services.

1. In the Web Service Client Table, click Add Web Service Host .

2. Enter a name in the Host Name box and click Save.

   The host name appears in the Service Process dropdown menu.

   This host name also appears in the Service Management window as a Service Type. The new Service Type is another web service hosting application service, in addition to the Internal Web Service Host and Public Web Service Host.

   Use Service Management to control the servers that the web service runs on. Adding a web service host provides a more fine-grained control over which web services run on which application servers, if that level of control is required.
